With a new year comes the prospect of new albums from new bands and old bands alike. We here at Edge Reviews have come together and thought about what it is we're most looking forward to this year in the world of Metal.

Follow up:

Dave - This year is just beginning but I'd have to say that at this point my most anticipated album is easily the new Circus Maximus album. Following up the phenomenal 2007 release, "Isolate" will be a difficult task but I'm truly eager to see what the Norwegians can come up with this year.

Also, I'm hoping to hear something about a new Nightwish album as well as a possible Soilwork release (10th anniversary DVD anyone?)

Roy - The Ascendicate. They're a fairly new band that I've just discovered and they seem to be "very much my style" and I'm looking forward to hearing them and finding out more about them. And who knows, maybe a new Demons and Wizards.

Dusty - Let's see, A Day to Remember, Despised Icon, It Dies Today. That's just off the top of my head though.

Dan - I've been so out of the loop I don't know what is set to release.

Josh - Call me old school, but Megadeth and Iron Maiden both have new ones coming this year. That gets me excited.
